As our Senior Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing cost accounting and financial operations for a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. This position supports both daily accounting activity and contributes financial insights that drive operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost accounting and inventory tracking for TimberQuest’s modular manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy of labor, materials, and overhead allocations.
- Partner with factory leadership and project managers to analyze job cost performance and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions: accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review sales and use tax filings and ensure compliance with multi-state regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial reporting and internal controls; support quarterly and year-end audits.
- Prepare and analyze margin, cash flow, and cost trend reports to inform leadership decisions.
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing or cost accounting role (non-automated or small-batch production preferred).
- Solid understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Viewpoint Vista, Power BI, or Prophix a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a distributed environment.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $94,000 – $110,000 – Depending on experience and geographic location.
